The retreat gave us an opportunity to learn, listen, ask questions, and have meaningful conversations about what good governance looks like and how the board and staff can work together effectively while keeping our community at the center of the decisions we make.

The training went great, and the board seemed very engaged through it all, with good discussion. Our following days of strategic planning and budget discussion went well, which I think is a testament to the governance training the group has had over the past few months.
